About the artist
Ingrid
Op’t Hof
Ingrid Op’t Hof is a South African-born, Dubai-based self-taught multidisciplinary artist whose practice is rooted in emotional expression, material exploration and intuitive process.
Her work sits between abstraction and personal narrative, inviting viewers to encounter emotion not as something explained, but as something felt, layered and held.

Artist statement
“My work begins where words become too limited.”
I am drawn to materials because they hold what language often cannot: grief, memory, tenderness, rupture, longing, and the quiet moments of repair that follow.
I see each artwork as a record of becoming. It is not about resolution, but about presence.
The final piece remains alive with what came before it—the marks, accidents, resistance and discoveries that shaped it.
